Description:
Calcium formate is an odourless white crystalline free-flowing solid or powder. The aqueous solution is neutral. The solubility of calcium formate does not change much with increasing temperature, Specific gravity: 2.023 (20 ° C), bulk density 900-1000g / L. The heat decomposition temperature is >400 °C.
Application
For industrial applications,Calcium Formate is used in concrete and dry mortar application to accelerate the hardening rate and shorten the setting time, especially in the winter construction, to avoid condensation at low temperatures. It is also used as leather tanning agent or preservative.
