Application
Pharmaceutical grade betaine is an important component in the improvement and treatment of cardiovascular diseases and health care products. Betaine can reduce the potential toxicity level of hemi-cysteine in human body. Photocysteine is an amino acid in the human body and its bad metabolismcan cause cardiovascular disease in the human body, such as atherosclerosis, myocardial infarction, and poor peripheral blood flow (ie, insufficient blood flow to the limbs) are greatly increased.
In addition, since betaine is a vitamin with a biologically active form, is very important for DNA repair, protein formation and enzyme activity. Studies have shown that it can treat severe liver disease without causing damage to the liver. Due to its excellent osmotic pressure regulation, it can maintain the level of balance in the kidney to achieve the role of kidney protection.
In the food industry, it is widely used in foods and juices because of its moderate taste and colorlessness.
In terms of cosmetics, betaine has a moisturizing capacity of about 12 times that of glycerol and 3 times that of sorbitol. It has good stability, water solubility and moisture retention. It can be used as a conditioner for skin and hair, and it can also be used for foam-free toothpaste to protect the oral mucosa and treat dry mouth symptoms. It is easy to use in soaps, shampoos, skin creams and toothpastes.
Anhydrous betaine can be used as a feed additive. It is a natural and efficient methyl donor. It can partially replace methionine and choline chloride, reduce feed cost, reduce pig backfat, and improve lean meat quality and pig quality. Adding to chicken feed, it can improve the carcass quality and breast muscle mass, improve the palatability and utilization of bait. Because of increasing feed intake and increasing daily gain, it is the main attractant for food. It can improve the feeding rate of piglets and promote their growth. Another important function, it can adjust the osmotic pressure to improve the gastrointestinal pressure during various stress conditions, such as cold, heat, disease, weaning, etc., to improve the survival rate of seedlings, especially juvenile prawns and fish fry. Anhydrous betaine has a protective effect on the stability of VA and VB, and improves the use effect. It does not have the irritating properties of betaine hydrochloride, so it owns the best taste in the betaine series.
In addition, betaine can also be used to make dental materials with certain high molecular structure. Used as a base ingredient in the process of fermentative production of VB2.
