Product Description

Potassium chloride, the chemical formula of KCl, is a colorless and elongated diamond, or a cubic crystal, or a small white crystal granule powder that looks like salt, odorless and salty. An additive commonly used in low-sodium salt and mineral water.
Potassium chloride (KCl) is odorless and has a white or colorless vitreous crystal appearance. The solid dissolves readily in water and its solutions have a salt-like taste. It occurs naturally as the mineral sylvite, and in combination with sodium chloride as sylvinite.
The taste is very salty, the smell is not toxic. Density. Melting point is 776 ºC. When heated to 1420 ºC can boil. Soluble in water, ether, glycerin and alkali, soluble in ethanol, but not soluble in water-free ethanol. The solubility of water in water increases rapidly with temperature.
